Supply Chain Student Scholarships

The scholarship window for Supply Chain Management (SCM) is very much open as of April 27, 2026 The coveted ISM R. Gene Richter awards just were announced today, but there are a host of major national grants, niche industry fellowships and fully funded 2027 international cycles with open application periods.

Here are the top funding opportunities currently available for supply chain students and professionals.

1. 2026 ULSCA Supply Chain Scholarship

The University Logistics and Supply Chain Association (ULSCA) presents this award to students excelling in higher education supply chain operations.

  • The Prize $1,500.
  • • Current Status: APPLICATIONS OPEN MAY 1, 2026
  • • The last day is June 30, 2026.
  • Must be enrolled in a Supply Chain or Logistics degree programme with at least a 2.5 grade point average. Requires 1 letter of recommendation and career goal essay.

2. Regional Scholarship – ASCM (APICS)

ASCM local chapters also generate a good deal of funding for their student members.

  • • ASCM Princeton South Jersey: $1,250 (2 awards) Due date: May 20, 2026. Needs a 3.0 GPA and a “Supply Chain Journey” essay.
  • • Rick Leach Memorial Scholarship $700 – $3,000 Miscellaneous amounts Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis monthly.
  • Requirement: For many regional awards, you must be a student member of that particular ASCM chapter (registration usually costs nothing for students at apics.org).

3. African Supply Chains, MIT-Zaragoza Professional Scholarship

For africans accepted into the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) programme in Spain.

  • • The Award: Up to 50% reduction of tuition fees (approx. €12,000)

The UK’s leading leadership award. The supply chain is a top priority area for those looking to improve global trade and logistics networks

  • You need to have worked for at least two years (2,800 hours). For SCM students these can be in procurement, manufacturing or distribution.

6. Must-Haves for Supply Chain Students Strategy 2026

Your application must be “Systemic Visibility” to win a competitive SCM grant this year.

  • The “End-to-End” Narrative: Committees transition from simple “Logistics” to Supply Chain Transparency in 2026 Instead of “I like shipping”, say, “I am researching how to use IoT and AI to create real-time visibility and reduce disruptions in global sourcing.”
  • Measure Your Impact: The ‘Efficiency’ metric is used for the ASCM and John Galt awards. Don’t write “Interned at a warehouse” on your resume; write “Identified routing inefficiency that reduced lead times by 12%”.
